General Dentistry

Dental care the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders and diseases affecting the, teeth, gums, tongue, lips and jaws. The professional practitioners of dentistry are commonly referred to as dentists. General dentists provide services related to the general maintenance of oral hygiene and oral health.
Prevention plays an important role in dentistry and this is why it is important to have regular dental check ups – at least once every six months. Regular checkups and oral health maintenance prevent the development of serious dental problems that can require costly treatment. If you remain vigilant and visit your dentist regularly, you can enjoy exceptional dental health.

During a dental examination the dentist will use specific instruments, tooth related tests, radiographs and clinical expertise to diagnose potential or existent disease states and pathologies. The general dentist’s primary focus is on the oral cavity, head and neck. An individualized treatment plan is developed to prevent or treat oral diseases. If the concern is an aesthetic one your dentist will work with you to identify and achieve your aesthetic goals.

DENTAL CROWN

Crown is a artificial covering for a tooth made of metal or ceramic which covers and protects the compromised tooth from further damage. A crown typically has two appointments , with the first visit involving removing of damaged tooth parts and preparing the tooth in a way that is receives a crown which compliments other teeth in the mouth.
